Shipping
Here at Brettells we can assist with getting certain items packaged and delivered to you. We offer shipping on small and non-breakable items such as jewellery and medals etc. We only offer shipping to UK Mainland and we use Royal Mail Special Delivery only.
Any arrangements for shipping will need to be discussed with us so that we can analyse if your item is eligible for our In-House postage service. The minimum cost of postage and packing is £21 plus VAT, this may increase due to size, weight and value of your item. Please get in touch with us for a quote via phone or email.
We can also pack slightly larger non-fragile lots ready for a privately arranged courier collection such as Parcelforce, DHL etc. Once packaged we will supply weights and dimensions for you to book a courier. We charge a minimum of £12 (plus VAT) per box for packing.
WE WILL NOT POST lighters, ceramics, glass, mirrors, pictures, guns, swords etc. We also cannot provide shipping for large items such as wardrobes, white goods etc. You will need to arrange private haulers for these types of items.
Brettells Auctioneers & Valuers will not be held responsible for any claims made due to shipping problems (such as damage in transit) and we do not pay out for damage or lost parcel claims. We reserve the right to not post lots anywhere other than UK Mainland. We are not professional packers or shippers and reserve the right to decline any packing or shipping request.

Due to recent changes in legislation, including the updated General Product Safety Regulations that came into effect in December 2024, we regret to inform our customers that we are currently unable to ship to the European Union (EU) and Northern Ireland. These new regulations have introduced additional requirements that we must meet to ensure the safety and compliance of our products in these regions. As a small business, we are currently unable to implement the necessary changes to comply fully with these regulations.
