An Early 20th Century Chinese Silk Sleeve with Copper Thread Design Depicting Dragon and Phoenix in Scrolled Sky with Bats and Flames, 57x13cm
Provenance: Belonged to a nurse working at Whipps Cross Hospital in London c.1920-30's. Her friend and colleague Nellie Smith, who went out to China as a Missionary, asked for her to save shoes. In thanks Nellie bought this silk panel back on one of her return visits.
